[🇮🇹] Abbiamo il piacere di invitarvi alla proiezione del documentario Women for Iran, di Sara Hourngir. [ITA, ENG]
Il film “è un progetto che nasce dalla volontà di raccontare e informare sulla guerra civile che pervade l’Iran da molti anni, ma della quale non si è mai parlato approfonditamente fino a Settembre 2022, dopo l’arresto e la morte di Mahsa Amini. Il documentario è girato completamente in Italia e, attraverso le storie delle attiviste iraniane, narra le problematiche del Paese da un punto di vista politico e sociale e di come esse si ripercuotano maggiormente sulla donna. Utilizzando materiali di repertorio e video girati da manifestanti e semplici cittadini, si racconta la violenza con cui il governo iraniano sottomette il proprio popolo e di quanto il pretesto della religione giochi un ruolo cruciale negli equilibri di potere e nella repressione dei diritti umani nel paese”.
L’evento, aperto a tutti e gratuito, si terrà il 3 agosto 2026 alle 21 nella nostra sede in via Pisoni 3 (TS), e sarà preceduto alle 20 da un aperitivo solidale. Sarà presente anche la regista Sara Hourngir.

The movie “is a project that stems from the desire to tell and inform about the civil war that has been going on in Iran for many years, but which was never discussed in depth until September 2022, after the arrest and death of Mahsa Amini. The documentary is shot entirely in Italy and, through the stories of the Iranian activists, tells the country’s problems from a political and social point of view and how these problems have a greater impact on women. Using stock footage and videos shot by protesters and ordinary citizens, Women for Iran tells the violence with which the Iranian government subdues its own people and how the pretext of religion plays a crucial role in the balance of power and the repression of human rights in the country”.
The event is open to everyone and free. It will take place on August 3, 2026, at 9:00 PM at Via Pisoni 3, Trieste, and will be preceded by a solidarity aperitif at 8:00 PM. The director, Sara Hourngir, will also be present.
